A year of new adventures helped Donegal College graduate Hannah Fidgeon push beyond her limits and launch an exciting outdoor career.

🚣‍♀️ The Gartan-based Outdoor Sport and Recreation Traineeship goes far beyond classroom learning, combining industry qualifications with work experience, subsidised equipment, available financial supports and a funded Erasmus+ experience in France.

Outdoor Sport & Recreation Course 2026/2027

Our Certificate in Outdoor Sport & Recreation begins on Monday, 28 September 2026.

There is still time to apply, as enrolment will remain open for the first four weeks of the course.

This full-time programme offers students an immersive experience in Adventure Sports Coaching and Leadership, providing the skills, knowledge and qualifications needed to pursue a career in the outdoor education and adventure sports sector.

As part of the course, students will also have the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ mobility programme, including an exciting trip to the Ardèche region of France.
