WATCH THIS SPACE!

Unfortunately we can't open this September as planned because of the crazy fees it was going to cost to get our building fire cert worthy even though it was a purpose built creche. It means we won't be using this building and it means lots of other things too but for right we're taking a break because...well...you've just read all that and I bet you feel a bit deflated from just reading it so I hope you can understand our need for a break to refresh and rejuvenate our souls a little before we get back to it!

Generally there's a shocked or surprised face when we tell people the ages mix in our new school and usually that's followed by a face of realisation that we never spend time with only our own age group after we leave school.

Before the schooling system looked like it did now - all education was done in the home with siblings and neighbours mixing with one another and learning from eachother.

When our kids are young we say "they all develop at different ages" but then that seems to get forgotten at ages 5 and 6.

We want all ages to feel understood so we will have a mentor for each student so they can have their voice heard and that mentor will then support them to be understood by everyone if that's something they may struggle with.

What we mean when we say democratic is that every student and every staff member have a vote. And equal vote.

We have school meetings and we have a mentor for every student..

We want our students to understand democracy as early as possible and in a way that is relatable to them.

Quite often democracy isn't shared with young people until they're "of age" so we're excited to see our students thrive with this system and share that with others so they can see it in action.
