I think it's because it best represents what this place is about...peace, patience, seasons and taking a breath🩵

Today, my stage 5 clinger (who has stuck her head inside my coat for 4 years, cried, clung while we both cried, had to be handed over to teachers and has had the school gates abandoned for home) left me at the school gates to walk off with her friend and my little one ran in with her best pal 🩵

I drank coffee, came here, lifted a bar, sat on the bike in the sun and moved around for a bit 🩵

I fully expect there to be blips, for life to feel hard, for the weights to feel heavy again but, I will focus on finding peace, patience, riding out the seasons and taking a breath when I can 🩵

Think that's it innit...🩵💪

September reset?

It's a massive month for the girls here, some giving up the freedom of summer, some (myself included) trying to recover from the inevitable burnout of full time work and parenting and some still trying to balance the routines of overtired, overwhelmed kiddos 🩵

It's also a massive month for convincing us that we are a problem to be solved, that there is some magical solution just around the corner 🩵

Exercise isn't a punishment for a life lived off plan, an extreme diet won't help you thrive and anyone who tells you they have a solution for you...should probably get to know you first 🩵

You know what comes next, taking steady steps towards feeling more like you and trying to stay there 🩵

That's it. Slow down, eat, water your body, sleep & repeat. Everytime 🩵

Six weeks of trying to manage the squeeze and maintain my sanity and all of a sudden worrying about nearly 9 weeks becomes, only 2 weeks left and beginning to miss them already...😂

Another season of being touched, tapped and burnt out, trying to remember myself while finding magic for them and trying to hold it together long enough to enjoy it together as much as we can.

I think it's ok to love them & be glad when the squeeze isn't so damn tight 🩵
