Seamount College Seamount College, Kinvara Seamount College is a voluntary, co-educational Catholic secondary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Galway.

Seamount College is located in the west of Ireland on a five-acre site overlooking Kinvara Bay and nestled in the uniquely beautiful village of Kinvara. The remains of the 7th century Rath of King Guaire and Dunguaire tower house are to the northeast and the spectacular Burren mountains; relics of the Ice Age, lie to the south. There is no doubt that students are influenced and moulded by such a s

pectacular backdrop while learning. Our aim is to provide, with the support of parents, a holistic, christian education in a caring, respectful environment where teaching and learning lead to the development of the full potential of each individual in the school community. It is hoped that students will leave us adequately prepared for life, with a healthy self-image and the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing world. We have in place a Board of Management, Parent's Council and Student's Council.

🏑 Connacht U16 Official Squad Announcement 🏑

Congratulations and best of luck to Eabha Crossan and Beibhinn Whitney, who have been selected for the Connacht U16 squad and will represent Kinvara Hockey Club and Seamount College at next weekend’s Interprovincial Tournament! 🥳🙌

The tournament takes place from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August at Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club, Dublin.

We’re so proud of you both and wish you and the Connacht Hockey squad the very best of luck! 💚🏑

You got through the late night studying, the exam stress and the endless anticipation. That resilience is a real achievement and you each should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

A great achievement and a super run 🇮🇪

Orlaith Mannion 4th in World u20 100m hurdles heat and just missed semi final spot.

Congratulations to Orlaith on her super performance in the World u20 championships. Orlaith finished 4th in her heat in a time of 13.73 seconds; her 3rd fastest time. She just missed out in a place in the semi final as the top three got an automatic qualification.

She was ranked 33rd out of 59 in the competition and she finished in 31st place.

A fantastic experience for Orlaith and we are so proud of her in South Galway AC.

Huge thanks to all involved in getting her there, in particular her hurdles coach Declan Derrane and her Mum Edel.

She is representing Ireland in the U20 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA. A huge achievement based on her beating global standards to qualify.

Her heat in the 100m hurdles takes place at 6:30pm Irish time today (Friday the 7th).
