Today's update on the Shoe box appeal for Team Hope.

Cumann na MBunscol Football Final at Annaghdown GAA.

Our panel of lads headed off to Annaghdown for last Wednesday for the finals day.

Our first match was against Loughrea,great football from both sides & the lads emerged as the winners in this match.
Our second match was against Mervue, end to end football from both sides,super saves from Cadáin our goalie 👏

We then played Baile Nua NS in the semi final.
The lads were up against it here,our opponents were tough & unfortunately we lost but a great day was had by all.

Thanks to Mr. Nolan,Mr. Gallagher & Mr. McDonagh for looking after the lads.

A great turnout for the Shoebox Appeal with 112 boxes collected so far.
The student,parents association will be collecting again on Thursday morning at drop off!

Today we welcomed the Seatbelt Sherriff to the school from the RSA.

Our first & second classes got to learn about the importance of wearing your seat belt in the car & to sit in the back of the car.

They also learnt about road safety,how to cross the road safely how to use traffic lights & the zebra crossing.

Bike safety was also discussed.
Wear a helmet,a high viz,& the importance of a light & bell on your bike.

We are very grateful to the RSA for this talk today.

Dear Community

Galway County Council is proposing a new 30 km/h zone for Kinvara.

As you can see from image, it covers only a small part of our village centre, while leaving roads outside our schools and through major residential areas at 50 km/h. That makes no sense, it’s a disgraceful proposal.

Kinvara should have one clear 30 km/h limit across the existing built-up village area.The simplest and safest solution is to replace the existing 50 km/h signs on the approaches to Kinvara with 30 km/h signs, creating a coherent village-wide limit that everyone can easily understand.
