Kinsale Music Academy is an independently run music education institute. We operate in five local schools and centres, providing individual instrumental tuition, group classes and ensemble music making. Tuition is provided by highly qualified teachers in a range of instruments and styles for all ages and levels of ability. Our teachers are highly trained, experienced and enthusiastic musicians who

are actively involved in various aspects of the music scene nationwide. Our services include :
one-to-one instrumental tuition
beginner pre-instrumental classes
group instrumental classes
ensembles - Junior Orchestra & Youth Choir
grade examinations

We are the foremost music education facility in the Kinsale area to provide such a wide range of options in terms of musical learning.

Am I the worst in the world at updating social media etc regularly? - yes!

Has the last year been utterly chaotic but do I promise to be much better at everything this year? - also yes!

And finally will the new term timetable be sorted and hopefully with everyone accommodated to the very best of our ability by our start date of 8th September - 100% yes!

New term update!

So, baby James arrived to us early and suddenly last week so my well intended to-do list organising our new term got dropped 😅

But we’re back on it now so thanks everyone for your patience!

•returning students - we’re back from Monday 9th and will be in touch asap to organise the new term timetable

•all new enquiries - please bear with us! especially piano enquiries, we have a waiting list and limited times/resources due to such high demand 🎹

A lovely reminder today, on Siona’s birthday, of her immense talent and influence as a teacher.
This was at Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile’s Christmas concert 2019 and I recently came across this video on my phone that I had forgotten about!

A truly heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our Memorial Violin, it means the world to me. I met with Ian back in September and we had a lovely chat about this project. I'm really excited to see this exceptional work in progress and the undoubtable masterpiece it will be!

Tomorrow is an emotional day for me.. it is my daughter Amelia’s 1st birthday but it also marks one year since the passing of our gorgeous friend Síona 💔

Síona was an integral part of KMA and to honour her, and to support Ian & Ada, we are commissioning a custom made violin from Ian. This memorial violin will then be presented on loan each year to a deserving student for them to further their studies.

We have a GoFundMe, if anyone would like to make a donation towards this, it would be greatly appreciated.
