Today, we had a very exciting day of science. Natalie and Audrey from the Department of Biological Sciences at UL visited our school to work with us.
We learned about the different trees that grow in Ireland, planted mini greens and carried out an experiment to extract the DNA from a banana. It was fascinating to see science in action and learn through hands-on activities.
We really enjoyed our day as scientists and learned so much. Thank you again to Natalie and Audrey for making the day so enjoyable and educational.

Today we were challenged with a STEM project to design and build an airplane. We measured the wings, body, and tail, then attached all the parts to the main body ready for take-off. After completing our airplanes, each group chose a name for their aircraft before testing how well it could fly.
