Chick update! 🐣

We’ve had a very exciting few days in Kilmurry McMahon NS our eggs have started to hatch! It’s been so much fun watching the little chicks emerge and exploring their new world.

The children have really enjoyed helping take care of them, from feeding and observing to gentle playtime. It’s been a wonderful hands-on experience learning about these tiny, fluffy friends. 🐥💛

The children in 3rd - 6th class have made great progress each week building confidence in the water, improving their skills, and having lots of fun along the way.💦

This week the pupils in the Senior Room have been learning about life cycles. 🐸🦋🐥

We explored the life cycle of the frog as Gaeilge and collaboratively created reports as Gaeilge based on our learning. We then learned about the life cycle of the butterfly in English and compared both life cycles.

To finish, we created beautiful butterfly artwork using chalk pastels.🦋

🏀 Well done to our Boys and Girls Basketball teams who took part in the Marion Keane Basketball Tournament yesterday!

A great day of basketball was had by all. Our Boys team performed brilliantly, winning two out of their three games, while our Girls team also did us proud, winning one game and drawing another. 👏🏀

There was great excitement in Kilmurry McMahon NS today as our newest little pupils arrived! 🐣🐥
We are delighted to be taking part in a Hatching Programme and the children are keeping a close and careful watch on the eggs in our incubator. We’re hoping more chicks will hatch very soon so our fluffy friends will have plenty of company! 🐣🥰
