Today we said a fond farewell to Fr.Chris. He has been a wonderful help to us over the years, preparing for sacraments, graduations, special occasions and just calling in to see us (treats in hand) with words of encouragement. He has been a great supporter of our school in so many ways. His kindness, good humour and caring nature have been an example to us all. He has an exceptional ability to connect with the children and make them all feel special and valued. Fr. Chris will be greatly missed by us all but we are so blessed that he has been part of our school community for the past 7 years. We wish him every happiness in his new parish of Askeaton. Slán go fóill Fr. Chris, go n-éirí an bóthar leat.

Our Junior Infants were amazed to see our Pumpkin Patch with some very impressive pumpkins 🎃 growing steadily in time for Halloween. Thanks to all in Bulgaden Tidy Towns who helped us plant the pumpkins back on the 21st May and who looked after them diligently while we were on our holidays. Check them out in the front garden of our school if you are passing. Limerick Leader Live 95

Our senior classes had a fabulous day in Lough Gur with Kilfinane Outdoor Education Centre. The weather was glorious and the children enjoyed kayaking around and swimming in the lake. Then we headed to Kilfinane and took on rock climbing and orienteering. Thanks to all at KOEC for a great day especially John, Luke, Liam and Eoin and thanks to all the parents who helped out with lifts.

After the excitement of yesterday's graduation today was our Sports Day 🏃 We enjoyed all kinds of races, egg and spoon, wheelbarrow, sack races, relays and sprints. In the middle we enjoyed a delicious tea party,🫖 followed by tug or war, rounders and an obstacle course. Looking forward to our senior school tour tomorrow now.
