Thank You and Best Wishes
Wishing Fr. Chris every happiness as he begins his new chapter in Askeaton/Ballysteen. While his departure is a great loss to our school community, it is certainly a wonderful gain for his new parish. We have been truly blessed and privileged to have Fr. Chris as part of our school community for the last 7 years. His kindness, words, warmth and genuine care for others have left a lasting impression on staff, students and the wider school community. It is difficult to put into words just how much he will be missed in our school and the wider community. His presence, encouragement and compassion have meant so much to so many, and his contribution to our school will remain a cherished part of our shared story. Thank you, Fr. Chris, for everything — for your time, your generosity, your kindness and, most of all, for the gift of yourself to our community. Míle buíochas agus go n-éirí an bóthar leat!

Congratulations
It was a pleasure to welcome 6th year students across the morning as they called to discuss their results and to meet friends and classmates. Thank you to all students, parents and colleagues who called to the school. We wish you all every success in the future.

For those who are worried about CAO points, remember that worrying never solved anything!

Take a breath, opt to review your scripts and remember that points for courses not only go up but they can also come down!

LC & LCA Results 2026
We are looking forward to the LC and LCA results which will be avaialbe tomorrow from 10.00am on the SEC exam portal (details shared yesterday).
There is no doubt in any of our minds, sitting the Leaving Certificate, waiting for results, getting them and then waiting for the CAO offer is one of the most stressful things we can do as young adults in this country.
In CIK, we want each and everyone of you to know that you are far more than a result or a set of results. These are but a moment in time. They carry a certain importance but do not define you.Your true worth and value to all who love you can never be measured in mere academic results. You are far more important and valuable, as a son, a daughter, a brother a sister, a friend. Knowing each of you, I have no doubt in my mind that you will find your success when your passion meets your focus and that may have already started for those in work or apprenticeships.
We know that many may wish to be surrounded by family and loved ones when they login tomorrow or may retreat to the solitude of their bedroom to view their results.
We would love to see you call to the school tomorrow between 11.00am and 12.00pm, you may wish to collect a hard copy of your results or you may want to call for a few minutes to share your joy and success with us or with friends, you will be most welcome. We will have light refreshments!
If you are not available to call tomorrow, our door is always open to you. Don't be afraid to call at a later stage or before you begin work or head of to University.
Wishing you all success and happiness, not just for the results tomorrow, but, for all your adventures in what we hope will be wonderfully happy and fulfilled lives ahead.
