Well I have it. I’m now a certified Addiction Coach!
Though I would say my qualification really comes from the hard earned experience of life in addiction.
In doing the work of recovery we need help. We NEED support. And today - this is my new offering to you.
🤝 I can sit with you while we explore pasts and present, the pains and the hurts. In a safe, confidential space. I will never judge you. I know how our addictions can lead us to behave in ways we don't always understand. Hear that.. I won’t judge. I know that’s one of the reasons some of us hold ourselves back. We’ve done bad things, that doesn’t mean WE’RE bad.
❣ It is never too late to do the work. The best time to heal is now. Because the reason we may even be reading this - is because we’re ready now! Life's too short than to have our life lead by behaviours that are outside of us. We can take this power back through the power of coaching and healing.
☘ In a nutshell, my journey to healing started when I was 28. My life was out of control, I was lost, I hated myself and instant gratification was my solution to most things in life. Alcohol mainly was my 'solution' of choice. No matter how many times I said I’d stop, I never could. I used to casually tell loved ones every now and again i'd cut down or even stop someday, but deep down I thought I’d never be able to. I could never say the words.. "I'm afraid I can't stop" or "I need help to stop..". Why? Because then I might be made give up my "friend".
🌟 Gabor Mate describes Addiction as “manifested in any behaviour that a person craves, finds temporary relief or pleasure in but suffers negative consequences as a result of, and yet has difficulty giving up.”
You’ll see on his description, it’s described as any behaviour. So the list is infinite on the addictions that I can help you with. It can vary, from phone use, relationships, drugs, alcohol, overthinking, shopping, food, s*x and painkillers.
☎ I can help you find out where your addiction has come from, how we can transition from the addiction, and help you envision a life free from it. I’ve done it, so will you!
