This morning we had Garda Mc Dermott and Garda Gallagher call to see our boys and girls for Beep Beep day!

The children learned all about how the speed gun works, how to put on the lights and hear the sirens!

Each of them got to try on the Garda hat, sit in the car and even try the handcuffs! Thankfully no children were arrested and it was confirmed that we have all the best boys and girls here!

Thank you so much to Garda Mc Dermott and Garda Gallagher for taking time this morning and answering all the questions that our group had for them!

💜 Crazy Hair Day Donation 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Crazy Hair Day and helped us raise some wonderful money for such a special cause! 🌈✨

We were delighted to donate €160 to Sheila, on behalf of the LauraLynn Foundation. 💜

Thank you so much, John, Sheila and all staff, for your lovely visit to your school. It was wonderful to visit you all this morning. 🥰

We are so proud of our local community and connections for coming together to make a difference. 💜

🍂🌿 Community Nature Walk! 🌿🍂

We had a lovely adventure to our “Secret Garden” behind the chapel ! 🌳 We collected leaves, sticks, conkers and apples, exploring all the wonderful colours, shapes and textures we found along the way. 🍎🍁

We also extended our learning by talking about different coloured leaves and how nature changes with the seasons. 🍂

Our walk was also a great opportunity to practise road safety, learning about safe walking, crossing roads and being aware of our surroundings. 🚶‍♀️🚦

Lots of exploring, collecting and learning in the great outdoors! 💚🌿

A little example of real life learning this morning. One of our preschool children found this caterpillar on the way in this morning and we added it to the “grass house” to help him feel at home- the children played alongside mr caterpillar all morning and through conversation and arts and crafts some children made lovely drawings to represent mr caterpillar!

We love to follow the children’s lead in their learning here and this was a great example of this today!
