Well here they are, the new additions to the Project.
Thank you to the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht through the Local Enhancement Programme 2026 for providing the €1,000.00 grant. This helps as the machines we are using go back as far as 2000.... yes 2000....

Hi Folks, Thank you all for highlighting our problem with dog poo.
On another note, today is the last day of our 31st Project year. A lot of people have come and gone through this. Some people have gained new skills, upgraded skills, moved onto employment and stayed with us. Unfortunately we have had our fair share of participants who have passed away either on the Project or who have left the Project and we want to remember them and their families. The end of the Project is always about reflecting on the things that we have completed and we want to thank every participant for the last year for their dedication and commitment. Hi folks, on the Project we have a bit of a problem with dogs poo in the areas we cut in Killybegs and Dunkineely. This is a serious problem as if it is cut with a strimmer, this goes all over the place and also in the faces of the workers (even though they were Protective Equipment).
We feel that because of this, if the poo is not picked up by the owners, we will have no other option but to stop cutting in these areas.
We do know some of the culprits and we will name and shame them on here, if it continues.........
Please help us to keep the areas neat and tidy......
