We are immensely proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Holy Child Killiney Class of 2026.

This is a year group whose journey has been unlike any other. They joined HCK during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, beginning secondary school behind facemasks. This demanded resilience, adaptability and courage from Day 1… we are so proud of the confident, compassionate and determined young women they are today.

We are delighted to celebrate their outstanding academic achievement:

💚 1 in every 3 students achieved over 550 CAO points
❤️ 8 students achieved over 600 points
💚 3 students achieved the maximum 625 points

While we are extremely proud of these results, we are equally just as proud of the student who balanced her studies with sport or music and extra-curriculars, the student who found confidence in a subject she once found difficult and the student who showed quiet resilience every single day when life was challenging.

To us, these achievements matter just as much as statistics.

We wish each student every success as they begin the next chapter.. whether through CAO offers in Ireland, Further Education or university opportunities across the UK, Europe and the United States… we look forward to celebrating their unique and individual successes.

Finally, a ‘thank you’ the outstandingly dedicated HCK staff, and to the parents and guardians, for their unwavering support and partnership.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We look forward to following your journey of the future! ❤️💚

Day 3 in Barcelona 🇪🇸☀️

An early start, but a day packed with unforgettable memories! From exploring the ancient ruins and old streets of Tarragona to spending the afternoon at PortAventura 🎢 .. some conquered Shambhala and Dragon Khan whilst some stuck to the teacups but there was something for everyone!

After getting soaked on Tutuki Splash and surviving one too many loop-de-loops, we cooled off with our first beach trip of the week 🏖️🌊 Volleyball, football, sunbathing and sunset chats on the sand were the perfect way to end such a busy day.

Lots of sunshine, laughter and memories we won’t forget anytime soon♥️💚🇪🇸

Day 2 in Barcelona 🇪🇸☀️

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for the stunning Montserrat, travelling up the mountain by cable car and taking in the incredible views … at least for those brave enough to look down! We spent the morning exploring, enjoying lunch, and soaking up the atmosphere before heading back down the mountain.

Next stop was Casa Milà, Antoni Gaudí’s final civil project before the Sagrada Família. After some quick shopping stops along the way, we enjoyed an audio-guided tour of the famous house, including the apartments, attic and rooftop.

In the evening, we headed to Barcelona Harbour for a boat tour along the coast. After grabbing ice cream and water, we set sail and enjoyed beautiful views of the city from the water as the sun began to lower over the harbour.

By the time we made it back to the hotel, everyone was exhausted after another busy day of sightseeing, sunshine and exploring Barcelona!

Day 1 in Barcelona: TY Cultural Trip 🇪🇸☀️

After a very early airport start, we arrived safely in Barcelona and headed straight into the city. We enjoyed lunch on La Rambla before some shopping and an amazing bike tour along the seafront and around the city. Later, we explored the old town on a walking tour and learned more about Barcelona’s history and culture. We finished the day in Salou with dinner, ice cream, and some time to relax after a busy but brilliant first day!

We will be posted updates from each day of our trip- enjoy!

We are incredibly proud to share that our school has been awarded the AIB Future Sparks Exemplary School Award 2025/2026 and was Highly Commended nationally for our project ‘Actions Not Words – Small Sparks Fan Flames.’ ✨

The AIB Future Sparks School Impact Awards recognise schools across Ireland who are making a meaningful difference through leadership, service and social action… we are honoured to have been recognised as one of only four schools in Dublin to receive this award.

Throughout the year, our Social Action Team, Chaplaincy Team and Young SVP Conference quietly and consistently lived out our school ethos through acts of compassion and service.
From preparing over 180 Meals on Wheels deliveries, to organising clothing and hygiene appeals, Christmas hampers, hospital care bags and outreach visits to local care centres and hospitals…. our students showed that small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.

A special thank you to Mrs Moiselle and our incredible student leaders: Orla Casey, Amelie Hennessey, Niamh Sumerbell and Siobhán Ryan, whose dedication and leadership inspired so many younger students to get involved.

This award celebrates more than achievements… it celebrates kindness, empathy and community. We could not be prouder of everyone involved for truly living our motto through ‘Action, not Words’. ♥️💚

The Social Action Team, led by Prefect, Hannah H, recently organised a Hygiene Product Appeal in support of Hygiene Hub 💙

Hygiene poverty is an issue that has become increasingly prevalent in Ireland today. For many families, everyday essentials such as shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant are simply not affordable. In some households, one toothbrush is shared between an entire family because having more than one is not an option.

Each year group in the school was assigned specific items to donate, including shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and face wash. It was incredible to see the generosity and community spirit shown throughout the appeal, with every collection box filled thanks to the support of students, staff and families. In total, an amazing 134.8kg of hygiene products was collected!

We were delighted to welcome Deirdre from Hygiene Hub to the school to collect the donations and speak to the Social Action Team about the impact these contributions will have for individuals and families experiencing hygiene poverty.

This appeal was a wonderful example of our school community living out ‘Actions not Words’ and showing true HCK spirit. ✨♥️💚
