Kerry School of French and Spanish - French and Spanish Grinds At Junior Certificate level there will be an emphasis on the development of listening skills, as well as developing reading and written ability.

Leaving and Junior cert grinds available from a highly qualified French and Spanish teacher and State Examinations Commission corrector and advising examiner for the past 22 years. I hold a First Class Honours in French and Spanish and a First Class Honours Higher Diploma in Education and I am registered to teach at post-primary level and in further education by the Teaching Council. I have worked as a teacher of French and Spanish in post-primary schools in Kerry and Limerick for several years and have worked as both an advising examiner and appeal examiner of Leaving Certificate Higher Level French and Leaving Certificate Higher Level Spanish with the State Examinations Commission since its foundation in 2003 and before that as an examiner with the Department of Education and Skills. I offer classes and revision courses in French fand Spanish for Junior and Leaving Certificate students, concentrating on topics of relevance to examinations and skills needed to be successful in the Certificate examinations. At Leaving Certificate level classes will focus on the development of aural, oral, reading and written skills. Examination technique and guidance on the marking of the examination will also be provided. Oral skill will be assessed regularly and guidance will also be offered on the selection and preparation of a 'document' for students of French, should the student choose to prepare one for the oral examination. Role plays will be covered for those students taking Spanish. Grammar will form an integral part of the classes at both Junior and Leaving Certificate level and homework will be set and corrected weekly.

Just over 3 weeks until the start of the Leaving Cert Spanish oral exams! The oral exam is worth 25% of your overall result at higher level and 20% at ordinary level.

One to one classes available, in person and online, limited spaces.
