For those new to the concept of relationship mentoring, here is a brief description of what mentoring is about:
Mentoring is about creating the safety for individuals to come to know and understand their story in a deep, meaningful way which has the purpose of bringing to consciousness what lies hidden: one’s true self. Each of us is a unique human being, like no other, and we have all had unique experiences of being parented and cared for as children by the adults we encountered in our lives, in homes, schools, at activities and in various social settings. We may have experienced high levels of safety or indeed high levels of threat in some or all of these settings. Very few adults have avoided experiencing some defensive/threatening responses as children in expressions such as behaviorally, creatively, emotionally, socially, physically, sexually, spiritually and intellectually. The effects of these threats, though created in the past, travel with us and impact on all new relationships. As children we are by necessity dependent on adults, however as adults now we get to ‘parent’ ourselves so to speak. This can be a difficult journey and one which we need support to undertake as Eileen herself has experienced. The reward is the possibility of creating mature open ways of being in relationships, conscious of our boundaries and our worth. In how many of our relationships, personal or in the workplace, do we feel the safety to express our truth? If you would like to avail of any opportunities, or simply have a query, please feel free to contact me by phone (087-4129655) or e-mail: [email protected]

A safe place awaits.

Greetings Everyone,

I genuinely hope that you are all keeping well in what for many of us is a very challenging time in a physical, psychological, social and emotional sense.

This Pandemic has affected us all, bringing up:

- Fears of getting the virus
- Fears for compromised relatives and friends
- Fears about the future
- Fears around dying alone
- Pressures with work / losing a job
- Financial pressures
- Stress on both parents and children

However, for many, it is primarily the resulting relationship challenges within our homes that require special attention and holding during this time; as adults, how we hold and nurture ourselves is key. Do you spend most of your time having regrets about the past or worrying about the future, or can you be present with yourselves in the NOW?

Thankfully, on the other hand, feelings of gratitude and appreciation for our loved ones has been highlighted, and it has presented an opportunity to make decisions that we may have been putting off or procrastinating about.

I am delighted to let you know that I am back practicing One-to-One Mentoring, and I welcome the opportunity to discuss whatever it is you may be experiencing and wish to share in a safe, non-judgmental environment, when the time feels right for you.

PLEASE NOTE: All required precautions and distancing measures with regards to Covid-19 will be in place for your in-person visit.

I will soon be providing more information in relation to the postponed courses and the possibility of future courses.

Warm regards,

Eileen

“I found the course hugely beneficial. It has helped me to remain calm and patient at key moments when my children’s behaviour is challenging. I now feel less stressed and guilty about not getting it right all of the time! I have focused on having more fun with my children and they love it! I am also more understanding of my own and my parents behaviours and having reflected on my own childhood my eyes have been opened to who I am as a person and a Mum. Eileen has been fantastic, warm and compassionate. Thank you so much.”

“This course made me realize some areas of my life where I was struggling. I came into this course looking for a way to ‘fix’ my children yet I soon realized the need to first look at myself and behavioural patterns and that has been key to everything. The past 10 weeks have felt like a reawakening. Thank you Eileen."

“I found the course absolutely amazing! Learning about ‘self’ and holding my own boundaries has been so beneficial to me and my relationship with my kids and my husband. Eileen, you are an amazing person, always truthful in sharing your own experiences. I found this course to be excellent for my self-development. Not once did I feel judged. Thank you.”

It further enhanced how in relationship mentoring and in my own personal experience, taking the TIME to process someone's pain can create such a wonderful opportunity to let the love in, in particular the love of oneself.
