As a school community, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to Fr. Kieran O'Brien as he prepares to leave Killarney for his new appointment in Rathmore.

Fr. Kieran has been an outstanding Chairperson of the Board of Management of Loreto National School, a role he held for the majority of his 14 years in Killarney. Throughout that time, he has given generously of his wisdom, guidance, kindness and support, always placing the wellbeing of our children and school community at the heart of every decision.

As our school chaplain, Fr. Kieran's presence has been a source of comfort, encouragement and joy. He has celebrated our liturgies and sacraments, supported our staff, and taken a genuine interest in the lives of our pupils.

While we are sad to see him leave, we wish Fr. Kieran every blessing and happiness as he begins this new chapter in Rathmore.

Thank you, Fr. Kieran, for everything you have done for our school. You will always be a valued part of Loreto National School and you will be greatly missed.

We had a fantastic Active School week this year. Lots of activities every day with Sports Day stations, Orienteering, Word Cup Tournament and Olympic Games! Well done to all our pupils for participating!! We finished off today with a lovely Teddy Bear picnic and some yummy ice creams to cool us down🏃🤸🌞

Today we said goodbye to our amazing 6th Class as they left our school for the final time. 🎓

We are so proud of all they have achieved and wish them every success and happiness as they begin their next adventure🤩🤩🤩

A big thank you to Muckross Ice Cream for treating all of our pupils today! 🍦

It was a lovely surprise and a wonderful way to celebrate the end of a busy school year. We are so proud of our fantastic pupils, who have worked incredibly hard all year.

The sun even came out to make it a perfect day🌞🌞

Thanks to all for supporting our school Lotto as the funds raised made this special treat possible for all our pupils. 😁

2nd and 3rd class had another amazing school tour yesterday as they made their way to the Aqua dome and Wetlands in Tralee. A great day out for all involved and well done to our pupils for representing our school so well🤸😁🏊🏼‍♀️

Our 4th, 5th and 6th class pupils had a fantastic day today at Ballyhass Outdoor Activity Centre in Mallow. A huge thank you to the staff at Ballyhass for providing such an enjoyable experience.
