Tonight Nuacht TG4 highlighted the submission of over 10 schools from around Ireland who are proposing to transition to Gaelscoileanna. The report mentions that if these schools are successful in their bid it may be the beginning of a much larger nationwide initiative... 🤞🤞🤞

Glenflesk NS is exploring the option of transitioning to a Gaelscoil .
• Junior Infants September 2027,
• Junior and Senior infants September 2028
• Junior infants, Senior Infants and 1st class September 2029 and so on.
We are engaging with the local community to get people’s opinions etc... here is a link to a short survey that will only take 1-2 minutes.
Please feel free to complete the survey yourself and/or share the survey with people who have children who aren't in school yet.

While we are sad to see this incredible bunch leave us, mostly we are so excited to see them venture onto a new chapter. So many opportunities and fun times await them all. We wish them all the best and remember what Fr. Jim said - Ye are like high octane fuelled Ferrari's!

Congratulations to our neighbours and friends Raheen National School on a great victory today in the Rathmore & District Credit Union 2 teacher competition. You've have a great year in sport. Well done 👏
Hard luck to our gang who were disappointed to lose the final but there was some consolation for Sean and Lauren who picked up individual awards 🏆 🥈
Thanks to Barraduff Community Field Organisation all the sponsors, organisers and the amazing referee 🙏
