A huge congratulations to our pupil Gary, who won the U12 National 60m Sprint title in a scarcely believable 8.69 seconds! Most of the staff cars wouldn't travel as quick!! Well done Gary we are enormously proud of all you have done, and continue to achieve. 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Well done also to his club Killarney Valley Athletics Club for getting him to this stage.

Huge congratulations to our past pupil, Regan, who won an U14 All Ireland Football Final with her Kerry teammates recently. Regan was a precocious talent from a very young age, excelling in her time in our school jersey (I think she made her debut for our senior team in 3rd Class!) and it is wonderful to see her career progress to even greater heights. Well done Regan, we are all very proud of you here in Loughquittane NS.

Well done to our 4 young athletes who recently qualified for the County Finals in Castleisland. They had a hugely successful evening as they brought home 3 gold medals. Well done to each of you, the future looks bright on the athletics front!

We are delighted to announce we can save you the drive into town with your plastic bottles! Our school has recently got some Return bins which we will use as part of our teaching about sustainability and the importance of recycling. We will use the monies raised to go towards the cost of refurbishing our football field.

It may take a long time but we are excited to see how we go and will keep you posted on our progress. Our bin will be located outside by the main door and we would be delighted to welcome plastic bottles (with the Return logo) deposited by the entire community, not just our school children.

Huge congratulations to our 2nd Class who made their First Holy Communion yesterday. Many thanks to Fr Joe for the lovely ceremony, and to all who helped with the day including the wonderful choir and our Alter servers. We hope everyone had a great day.

🇪🇺 Europe Day Celebrations 🇪🇺

Yesterday, as part of our Erasmus+ project, we celebrated Europe Day in school. The children enjoyed playing games, sharing interesting facts and information about European countries, researching different parts of Europe, completing project work and tasting foods from a variety of European countries 🌍✨

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity, culture and learning across Europe.

A special thank you to Erasmus+ and Léargas for their continued support of this initiative and the valuable opportunities it brings to our school community. 💙💛

We have been very busy on the Athletics front lately with numerous children taking part in various Community Games Competitions. This resulted in a colossal haul of medals arriving to school today! Congratulations to all our superstar athletes who have been participating, and best of luck to those competing in the upcoming County Finals.
