As a collective of over 1500 early years service providers nationwide , we are standing in support of the growing calls for action around fuel and energy costs, recognising the very real impact these pressures are having across communities.
Our sector understands this strain all too well.
For many years, early years services have been operating under sustained pressure for years now! We are constantly facing rising costs, fee freezes, funding challenges, over a thousand lost services in recent years! And increasing operational demands. These ongoing issues are affecting the sustainability of services and the ability to continue delivering high-quality care for children and families.
Every day, providers are working to keep doors open, support staff, and maintain safe, nurturing environments, despite mounting financial challenges.
This is not about politics.
This is about sustainability.
This is about viable essential services all across Ireland.
We are adding our voice to the wider conversation and acknowledging those who are highlighting the need for practical, meaningful supports.
