I’m delighted that our first host family appeal has been published in the Kilkee Parish Newsletter.
This September, international students from across Europe will be arriving in County Clare to attend St Joseph’s Community College Kilkee and we’re looking for a few more welcoming families in Kilkee and the surrounding areas to help make their Irish experience unforgettable.

Hosting an international student is a wonderful opportunity to learn about another culture, create lifelong friendships and make a real difference to a young person’s experience in Ireland.

Well done to our students David Nagle, Noah Hanrahan, Brian Connolly, Lillie-Rose Haugh and Sebastian Mc Dermott who were centre stage in a Western this evening-‘Who shot the Sheriff,’ Their talent knows no bounds they produced it themselves under Kilkee Youth Theatre, funded by Clare Arts.
They were brilliant by all accounts, well done all we are very proud of you not even taking a break during the holidays. Looking forward to developing this talent next year in our school.

Huge Congratulations to Fr Gerry Kenny, our local parish priest in Kilkee who on Saturday 13th June celebrated 50 years of Priesthood. Ennis native Fr Gerry was ordained on 13th June 1976 in the newly built Parish Church of Newmarket-on-Fergus by the late Bishop Michael Harty.
He has and continues to give great service to the Killaloe Diocese and to our school. We are so proud of your dedication and commitment.
