This week in Shining Stars the children had their own teddy bear picnic. Each of the children brought in their favourite teddy bear from home and we had our snack out in the garden. The children really enjoyed showing each other the teddies they decided to bring into class and each of the children showed great care and nurture towards their teddy. Have a great weekend everyone!

This week in Raising Stars, the children loved exploring the tent in the garden, using their imagination as they crawled in and out, played hide-and-seek. The children further developed their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills by practising their cutting skills using child-safe scissors and they carefully cut leaves and explored the natural materials while building confidence in using scissors safely and independently. To celebrate the recent solar eclipse, the children explored the sun and moon through creative art activities. They painted bright suns and moons, using different colours and brush strokes to create their own unique artwork. The children also enjoyed a sensory tuff tray filled with pasta and coloured rice, where they created their own representations of the sun and moon. It was a wonderful week here in Raising Stars, we'll see you all next week.

This week in Twinkle Stars the children displayed an interest in looking at the birds in the sky. Each day the children would point and show the educators all the birds when they went outside to the garden.

Later in the week we got black, blue, orange and brown paint that the children used to paint their own birds. The children used their hands and a paintbrush to paint their own version of a bird. It was very interesting to see each individual child’s interpretation of what a bird looks like. This activity help them with their imagination and fine motor skills. We hope you have a wonderful weekend from Twinkle Stars ✨

This week in Twinkle Stars the children displayed an interest in making a birthday card for their peer. The children used their decision making skills to carefully choose each of the materials they were going to use. The children chose to draw using crayons, stick down some stars and different shaped stickers. They also glued down stars, moon and a sun. The children expressed themselves creatively while also supporting their peer in their celebrations.

The children enjoyed spending time in the outdoors throughout the week. The children particularly engaged with lots of sensory play. The children were very observant and had lots of conversations about the different types of weather they saw. We hope you have a wonderful weekend from Twinkle Stars ✨

This week in shining stars the children had a very fun filled week. The children really enjoyed being outdoors and exploring the warm weather. The children worked together in the garden to pop all bubbles from our new flower bubble machine. The children also practiced communicating their emotions this week using the visual aids available to them within the classroom. While indoors there was lots of group play and development of friendships through the exploration of the home corner. The children ended the week with a treasure hunt. The children worked very hard to create their own maps, decorate stones with yellow crepe paper and glitter for the treasure and then explored the garden working together to find the treasure box. We hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend.

This week in Raising Stars was full of fun water play activities to help us stay cool during the warm weather. Earlier in the week, the children enjoyed a pool party where they had lots of fun splashing and playing together in the water. Throughout the week, the children explored a variety of outdoor experiences including imaginative play, role play using the blue boxes as a train, doll bathing and washing, bubble play, ball games and building activities. The children showed great teamwork and creativity as they shared resources and created their own games and stories together. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the sunshine and engaging happily with their friends outdoors. Have a wonderful long weekend everyone.

This week in Twinkle Stars the children displayed an interest in learning about ants. The children learned that ants are very strong and can lift very heavy things. They also learned that ants do not have a nose but instead they used two wiggly sticks on their heads which is also known as antennae to help them smell and find their way in the world.

Later in the week the children listened to the song called "The ants go marching one by one". They then decided make their own version of ants and they picked out the materials themselves. The children mixed glue with pink and orange paint. They also decided to mix in green and red glitter into the paint. To make their picture they used a paintbrush which helped them with there fine motor skills. We hope you have a wonderful weekend from Twinkle Stars ✨
