🌟 Our first full morning together! 🌟

Today we welcomed all our Montessori children for their first full morning and as expected, there were a few little tears 🥹💛 But there were also lots of busy little hands exploring, discovering and settling into their new environment 🧩🌱

We’re so excited to begin a wonderful year together, filled with learning, laughter and adventures! 🌈📚💫

A huge thank you for choosing Merryvale Montessori and for trusting us with your little treasures. 💕🌟 We feel so lucky to be part of their journey! 🥰

A fantastic Colour Dash & Family Fun Day has been organised in support of Essie by her friends in Naomh Barróg and will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend. ❤️💚

☀️🍕 Pizza Picnic Fun! 🍕☀️
We treated our Afterschoolers to a special pizza party yesterday! With the lovely weather on our side, we took the opportunity to enjoy a pizza picnic in the sunshine. 🌞🍕

A wonderful afternoon filled with good food and laughter was the perfect way to celebrate the end of another fantastic year. 😊🎉

We wish all of our Afterschoolers and their families a fun-filled, relaxing, and memorable summer. 🌈🏖️🍦 Thank you for a wonderful year and we will see you all in September! ❤️ ☀️🍕😎

🧸☀️ What a wonderful way to finish a very busy and fun filled year with our Teddy Bear's Picnic! 🧸 🌼

We had a fantastic morning in the garden, enjoying the sunshine and making special memories with our friends. 🌳😊 We were so lucky with the weather and the children loved cooling down with a delicious ice cream treat! 🍦😋

A huge good luck to all of our senior boys and girls as they begin their next adventure in primary school. 🎒📚 We are so proud of you and can't wait to hear all about your new schools, don't forget to come back and say hello in September! ❤️👋

🌟 The excitement is mounting for our concert tomorrow morning! 🌟

Our shining stars have been practising their songs so hard over the last few weeks and we can't wait to welcome their families in for what we're sure will be an amazing performance. 🌟🎤 🎶 ❤️

As we come to the end of another wonderful school year the children have been enjoying reflecting on all the memories we've made together. One of their favourite activities has been looking back through our class journal 📖, remembering the many celebrations 🎉, special visitors 👋, new Montessori materials 🧩 and exciting outings 🌳 that filled our year.

The children have also been painting their favourite memories of Merryvale 🎨, creating beautiful artwork that captures the experiences and moments that meant the most to them ❤️.

It has been lovely to hear the children sharing their memories and experiences with one another 😊. Even our Afterschool children have enjoyed looking through the journal and seeing just how busy and full of learning our Montessori classroom has been throughout the year 🌈

🔍🌿 A closer look at nature!
Our new magnifying glasses have been a huge hit in both Montessori and Afterschool. The children have been busy exploring the garden and taking a closer look at everything from colourful flowers to tiny ants and even greenflies! 🔎 👀
Observing the small details of the natural world encourages curiosity, concentration and a sense of wonder. It's amazing how much there is to discover when we slow down and look closely. 🌼🐜

🦋 Butterfly Release Day! 🦋
After the long weekend we returned to a wonderful surprise, our butterflies had finally emerged from their chrysalises!

The children were amazed to witness the final stage of this incredible life cycle and to see the transformation they had been patiently waiting for.

Our Montessori children carefully named our seven butterflies Flappy, Donal, Donut, Rainbow, Speedy, Space and Dobby 🦋✨

This morning, with the sun shining brightly it was the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to our little flying friends and release them into the world. Watching them spread their wings and fly away was a magical moment and a beautiful reminder of the wonders of nature.

Thank you, butterflies, for teaching us about growth, patience and transformation. 🦋💛

📚✨ Wonderful morning in Raheny Library! ✨📚

Our Montessori children were fantastic on our walk to the library, and we couldn't have been luckier with the weather. We had a little drizzle on the way but thankfully everyone was prepared with their raincoats! ☔😊
The children were so excited to arrive at the library. We were welcomed by Eve, the librarian, who told us all about how the library works and the many wonderful things it has to offer. The children were a credit to themselves, walking carefully, using their quiet voice and showing great respect for the library environment. 🌟

Eve then treated us to a special story time, reading two beautiful books by Irish author Chris Haughton. The children listened with great interest before enjoying some time to explore the shelves for themselves. There was lots of excitement as they discovered so many interesting books! 📖❤️

We also learned about a special story time taking place this Saturday morning at Raheny Library with Storyteller in Residence Liz Loughnane. It sounds like a lovely opportunity for families to revisit the library together. 🥰
Before we left, the children were delighted to receive their very own "My Little Library Bags" to take home and share with their families. 🎁📚
The sun came out just in time for a quick picnic and, of course, some playtime in the green area! ☀️🌿
A big thank you to Eve and everyone at Raheny Library for making our visit so special. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again! 💕 📚🌈

✨ New Magnet Cubes! ✨

Already a huge hit with our Afterschoolers, who have been busy building little worlds, creating objects and even making their names! 💡🧲🌈
This kind of play supports creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and fine motor skills while making learning fun!
