Off we go! Early rise this morning as we head off to Croke Park for our final Certified Irish Angus outing! It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 years since we last came to compete for our calves! 🐃👍🏼🎉

Listen up farmers! After 2 years of hard work and research, here are our findings and results of our theme of the Importance of Planned Production! We have worked out the total costs of rearing our calves on a more intense diet from birth, resulting in a higher kill out, compared to Teagasc ‘Johnstown’ figures! Have a read! 😁👍🏼🐃

Yesterday we had a presentation of our cheques in school. What an experience this has been and thank you to Frank and Áine from Glen South Farm for all your hard work and support. We were very sad to see our calves go. We cannot believe the competition is nearing it’s end and we’ve had such an exciting experience! The past year has flown and we will miss Zebo, Buster, Frodo, Donald and Mozzy!!
We went to Bandon for our calves slaughter on Friday 13th. It was a great chance to learn and understand the farm to fork process from rearing our calves and seeing the factory first hand. Thank you to ABP for having us!
