One of my favourite things about our sessions is that the play often gives the grown-ups something to talk about too.
We change the theme every week, and somehow it creates the most random little conversations between parents, the kind you probably wouldn’t start with someone you’d only just met.
This week, with our giant dental model and toothbrushes, we ended up chatting about everything from which toothpaste our children actually like, to different toothbrushes, brushing struggles and little things that have helped at home.
Someone shares what works for them, another parent has tried something completely different, and suddenly you’ve picked up a little tip you might never have thought of yourself.
And I think that’s a lovely part of coming along each week - the children get a new world to explore, and the grown-ups get new things to talk about too.
