🍰 🧁 Bake Sale!! 🍰 🧁 😋

Our Wellbeing Committee are looking forward to hosting a school bake sale this Thursday!

All children will be invited to the shop (cabin 😁) and there will be many goodies for them to purchase. This fundraiser is part of the committee’s application to be awarded our first ever Amber Flag - promoting positivity and wellbeing within our school community 🧡

Parents, guardians, siblings, childminders and all others will also in for a treat with the opportunity to purchase a delicious hot chocolate, hand-printed Easter cards (created by some of our very own!), and entry to a raffle to win a sponsored prize, all in the morning at drop-off! 🐣

We are hoping everybody will lend a helping hand in donating sweet treats; savoury treats; books & small toys in good condition; arts and crafts such as painted rocks & shells, bead bracelets, wool headbands etc. Every little bit helps!

Further details will be sent home tomorrow with the children.

(Prices for goodies will range from €0.20 to €3)

A busy week here in Cornanool! Celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge with lots of activities including a wee céilí in the middle room; we had our in-house scientist Hannah show us some great experiments; a great show by all for World Book Day; and the Friday afternoon movie club to unwind after a long week! Enjoy the weekend!

🕊️ Karen

All of us here in Cornanool school and the wider Cornanool community are heartbroken by the loss of Karen Higgins.

Everybody was greeted with her beautiful smile when she was coming to the school and joining in with all school events. Kind, caring and compassionate, she will be greatly missed here in Cornanool and by all who know her.

Our heartfelt condolences are with her devoted husband Eamonn at this time; her wonderful children Chloe, Tamsyn, Darragh, Aoife and Emily; our colleague and Karen’s sister Ciara, her husband Damien and children Kyla, Conor, Brian, Aobh and Faye; our colleague Helen and aunt to Karen, her husband Martin and all their family; and to all of Karen’s other cherished family and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace and memories of Karen last forever 🕯️
