The Donaghpatrick NS Parents' Association are very excited to announce that our Summer Fair is back! There will be games, there will be treats, there will be a Best Brown Bread in Caherlistrane spoon up for grabs once again!

Proud weekend for the parish coming up! 👏🥋

Best of Luck to Caherlistrane Athletes Set for 🇪🇺 European Martial Arts Championships

As many people may know every week in the community hall a local Martial Arts Academy trains. Next weekend some of these local athletes will represent 🇮🇪 Ireland 🇮🇪 at an international competition.

Six dedicated karateka from the Galway Martial Arts Academy, where training is based in the Caherlistrane GAA hall, have been selected to compete at the IMAF European Championships.

The prestigious championships are a premier event in the martial arts calendar, bringing together the top practitioners from across Europe 🇪🇺 to showcase elite skill and sportsmanship. Taking place in Antwerp, Belgium, in late April, the competition will feature Ireland’s best athletes competing in the Karate and Kenjutsu divisions.

Representing both their club and their country, these athletes have demonstrated the discipline and passion required to compete at an elite level. David Buckley, Chief Instructor at Galway Martial Arts, commented "Having six members competing on the international stage is a significant achievement for the small North Galway club.

The community is incredibly proud of these young athletes, and we would like to wish the club and the entire team the very best of luck as they represent Caherlistrane and Ireland in Antwerp!
