Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Harolds Cross

The Harold's Cross Unit has certainly had a busy week!

Some of our wonderful medics have been on duty at the 6th World Apostolic Congress on Mercy in Vilnius, Lithuania. A fantastic achievement. Well done to all involved!

Back in Ireland, we have been practicing our skills in mental health interventions, with a focus on assisting individuals experiencing panic attacks. We also enjoyed learning about the long history of the Order of Malta, from its foundation to today!

Congratulations to everyone who engaged in the VHI Women’s Mini-marathon yesterday! We were glad to work alongside the other Order of Malta Ambulance Corps units in the Eastern Region!

Hello everyone! The Harolds Cross unit is going to be releasing interviews with some of our members this month each Monday. This week we will be featuring our wonderful member Volunteer MacDara!

This week our members have been on duty at the Heather Cup in Terenure College where the students of Pius X BNS and GNS played throughout the week. It was a pleasure to provide first aid, we send our congratulations to all of the teams and especially the winners!

Tonight was very eventful for the unit! We had our open day at the Harolds Cross Hospice where we have our weekly meetings and had a great time introducing new people to how our unit functions in the community!

One of our members and a member of the Ballygall unit were also present at one of our hardest working members’ graduation from Liberties College as a Healthcare Assistant! Congratulations Ivan, well deserved!

Today, five of our members were on duty at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham for Africa Day! We had a great time getting to meet many different people from different countries and cultures around Africa!
