🌟 We couldn't be happier with the feedback from our visit to the Maker Space at Greystones Educate Together! 🌟

We recently had the pleasure of running a STEM taster session at the school's fantastic Maker Space, and it was an absolute joy to see the children's enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork in action.

The feedback we received from the school was incredibly encouraging. It was wonderful to hear how much the children enjoyed the hands-on challenges and how the activities supported communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and resilience.

A huge thank you to everyone at Greystones Educate Together for the warm welcome and for inviting CleverCogs Studio to be part of your learning community.

CleverCogs Studio introduces children to “Machine Literacy”, the ability to understand how machines think, move, and respond.
In these hands-on, playful workshops, children build mechanical computers, create moving structures, and experiment with simple circuits and robotics. Sessions are screen-light, collaborative, and focused on problem-solving, creativity, and learning through play.

Perfect for curious minds who love to build, explore, and figure out how things really work.

We're delighted to share the impact of our first CleverCogs Machine Literacy pilot.

This is what happens when learning is hands-on, playful, and focused on understanding how machines work.

As we wrap up for the summer break, we just want to say a huge thank you to our amazing CleverCogs community 💙

Every week, families, children, educators, and supporters showed up with curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm and those “lightbulb moments” we shared together have been truly special.

From building machines and solving problems to watching ideas click into place through play, it’s been incredible to see children grow in confidence as creators, thinkers, and builders.

📅 Weekly CleverCogs classes will pause from 22nd May
📅 Youth Café sessions will continue until 2nd June

We’re so grateful for all the support, encouragement, and energy you’ve brought to the sessions this term.

This is only the beginning for Machine Literacy 🚀

We already can’t wait to return with more hands-on adventures in thinking, making, testing, failing, improving, and building together again.

We’ve had an amazing time building with Strawbees ! 🚀 Greystones Youth Café

Our young creators explored how to design and build strong, stable structures—testing ideas, solving problems, and learning what makes a build really work.

Next, we’re taking things a step further…
We’re diving into how machines move! ⚙️

Students will start exploring mechanical energy—learning how to transfer movement, create motion, and bring their creations to life through simple mechanisms.

From building strong… to building moving machines—this is where the magic really begins! ✨

We’re back! 🚀

After a lovely Easter break, CleverCogs Studio sessions are starting again this week.

That means more building, experimenting, problem-solving and discovering how machines think, move and sense.

From mechanical computers to robots and circuits, our young makers are jumping straight back into hands-on Machine Literacy — learning by thinking, trying, failing, and improving.

We can’t wait to see everyone back in the room! 🔧⚙️
