🌟 A very warm welcome to our 168 new 1st Year students joining Greystones Community College today!

Our 2nd Year Student Ambassadors have received their leadership training and are ready to support our newest students every step of the way as they begin their journey in Greystones Community College.

A comprehensive induction programme awaits over the coming days, helping our new students settle in, make connections and feel part of our school community.

A huge thank you to our Student Ambassadors for taking on this important leadership role. 👏

🎓✨ A very special results day for our very first Leaving Certificate class! ✨🎓

Today, we celebrated a historic milestone as our pioneering Leaving Certificate students received their results — and what an excellent set of results they were! ! We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them. 👏

This first cohort has helped write an important chapter in the story of our school. Their hard work, commitment and determination have paid off, and we are delighted to celebrate their success with them today.

A huge thank you also to all our staff who joined our students this morning to share in the celebrations over coffee, pastries and plenty of proud smiles!

GCC Weekly Lotto Winners

The Parent Leadership Team hold their weekly fundraising lotto draws every week. The Jackpot currently stands at €2625! Thanks to everyone who has entered so far and for supporting this PLT initiative. All proceeds go directly back into supporting provision for studnets in Greystones Community College.

The weekly winner each week in our weekly draw win €20 and a box of chocolates! Congratulations to the winners this month, the school will make contact with you.

🎓 The Last Three Standing! 🎓

Today marked the conclusion of the Leaving Certificate examinations at Greystones Community College.

Over the past three weeks, our students have risen to every challenge with determination. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you for reaching this milestone.

A special congratulations to Andrew, Zac and Naomi, who completed the final examination of the Leaving Certificate 2026 schedule today – Higher Level Applied Mathematics.

Well done to all our State Examination students. We wish you a relaxing summer. The future is bright!

Greystones People of the Year Awards 2026

Congratulations to all students involved in the Greystones Trilateral, a student voice and youth engagement initiative in Greystones, encompassing representatives from the student leadership teams in our three schools, Temple Carrig School, St David’s Holy Faith and Greystones Community College.

This collaboration and coalition allows secondary school students to collaborate on issues affecting teenagers in Greystones, such as mental health, climate action, and public transport. The students were recognised this week by the Greystones Municipal District and were the recipients of a People of the Year Award. Thanks to Na Galláin Head Students Anna Dillane and Morgan Durston who represented GCC at the event and to who presented the award.

The Greystones Community College Parent Leadership Team Lotto has seen many new weekly winners in recent weeks. A very special congratulations from all in GCC and thanks to everyone for supporting the Parent Leadership Team and our students in the weekly lotto draws.

Special mention to the winner of our summer prize, a family pass (4 people incl. camping) to the Kaleidoscope Festival this July! Congratulations to Claire Aylward who popped in to pick up the prize this afternoon.

🌳 Stepping Stone Forest & Outdoor Classroom at Greystones Community College 🌳

Last week, members of the school community gathered to commence our preparation for our Stepping Stone Forest and Outdoor Classroom on the grounds of Greystones Community College with thanks to the support of our friends and supporters in Calor.

With the expert guidance of John from ‘Dodder Action’, representatives from Calor, along with staff and students from GCC, undertook the first stage of developing an outdoor classroom to enhance the biodiversity on the campus. We are looking forward to meeting up again in November to begin planting trees for our ‘Stepping Stone’ forest.

GCC has been working hard over the last 18 months on the Q Mark project with the LGBT+ organisation Belong To 🤝🌈

Our aim for this project was to ensure GCC is a safe and supportive school for all students and staff, creating a more inclusive environment with representation and LGBT+ visibility 🏳️‍🌈
