Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm excited to announce that I will be running my Summer course once again this year. 4th year in a row!! (Details below)

I will also be teaching my usual weekly classes during the Summer and will have flexibility.

Summer course details:
I will be running my one - to - one "5 Day Intensive Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Workshop" again this Summer!!!! This is the third Summer doing it and it's getting busier each year!
I will run them for the months of July and August;
Monday to Friday, or Tuesday to Saturday. Very flexible times, and in your home.
5 x 30 min classes, or 5 x 45 min classes (I can advise on which to recommend depending on the student).
These workshops are suitable for all ages, and total beginners up to advanced levels. A lot of musical disciplines will be covered such as learning chords, rhythm, finger picking, plectrum technique studying different genres, riffs, learning your favourite song, singing and playing, and plenty more.

Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing well!

A very good friend of mine, Glauce Lucas, has raised funds for one of her very good friends, Leandro Gladstone, to come over from Brazil and plan a project that involves publishing his book, 'A Look at the Streets'. Leandro is a self-taught photographer, and this recently transformed book, along with some of his other work, will be displayed at an exhibition TONIGHT IN FINBEES CAFÉ IN BRAY FROM 5-8PM!!!! I am so excited for this.

AAAANNNNNNDD!!!

There will be an open mic at Rise of the Cove in Greystones on the 2nd of June from 5pm. Leandro is also a musician and will host the the open mic to bring the community together with live music and some of the photos will be exhibited in the café, too.

I will be getting up to play a song or 2 myself, and it would be great to see some familiar faces there (possibly one of my students fancies playing a tune?!?!?)!

The money raised will go towards the Irish edition of 'A Look at the Streets' and part of it will also be donated to Tingle.

Open Mic at Rise at the Cove on June 2nd, from 5pm

As I am also a musician, Rise at the Cove will host an open mic to bring the community together with live music and some of the photos will be exhibited in the cafe too. Happy Friday, everyone!

So, from next week I will be back doing in-person lessons full time, which I am really excited about. Who knows for how long (hopefully very long!!), so if you would like to book in lessons for guitar, ukulele, bass or double-bass, hit me up.

Thanks to everyone who has been on this online-classes-journey with me. I never thought at the beginning of the first lockdown that it would work, but it's turned out to be very productive. Great job!! It's going to be refreshing to see you all in person again and being able to play a song or two together!

I still have a few online classes that are ongoing and for anyone wishing to take up one of the above instruments via Zoom, I am more than happy to accommodate.

Hey everyone!!

Well, it's looking like I will be going back to face to face lessons soon. The Zoom classes have been really, really good and in a strange way I'm going to miss them!! However, it will be refreshing to see you all again and play together.

I have some slots available if anyone is looking to take up an instrument (the one's in the photo!!). Even though it's only around the corner, I am not exactly sure, for now, when I will be back to doing in person class. So if you would like to get started on a few Zoom classes to get you going, let's do it!!

Hello everyone!

Happy New Year and hope you're all keeping well.

I wanted to share a short note on here about lessons- I am back to teaching online via Zoom while we all get through the next lockdown, however long it is, and I have some spaces open for new clients. I've been teaching via Zoom for nearly a year and have received very good feedback from my client base who are choosing to continue learning this way. I believe the online lessons are just as valuable as in-person ones. So if you're looking to try your hand at guitar, ukulele, bass, or double-bass, send me a message and let's get you started!

*ANNOUNCEMENT*

Hey everyone!! I'm back doing face-to-face lessons!!

I am keeping an eye on government advice regarding COVID-19 all the time but as we're allowed to gather in small groups while observing social distancing rules, I'm comfortable with visiting your home or welcoming you down to St. Patrick's Parish centre in Greystones where I also teach. Although the Zoom lessons were a necessity during COVID-19, I'm aware that they might still be the best solution for some of you so I will continue to facilitate those where requested. Whether you want to learn in person or online, send me a message and we'll set something up!

Hey everyone.

Below is a really interesting article (with video!) I came across about the bass guitar describing what it is, it's roles and how it sounds. The opening 2 sentences are such true statements-something that I experienced myself when starting off playing the bass was that I really had no clue what it was about. Am I glad I found out!!
