🌿✨ Montessori in action! ✨🌿

From pouring and sorting to number work and problem-solving, every hands-on activity is helping little minds grow in confidence, independence, concentration and creativity. 💚
At Coole Montessori, we believe children learn best when they can explore, discover and do. 🧩🔢💧

Small hands. Big learning. Beautiful progress. 🤍

✨ Practical Life in action at Coole Montessori ✨

Sometimes the simplest activities offer the richest learning. Today our Montessori tables were set up with pouring, spooning and transferring activities, giving the children the opportunity to practise everyday skills independently and at their own pace.

As they pour from jug to jug, spoon rice between bowls and carefully transfer pasta, they are working on so much more than the task itself — concentration, hand-eye coordination, fine motor control, independence, patience and confidence.

We love creating calm, purposeful little invitations where children can repeat a task as many times as they need. There’s no rush and no pressure — just “I can do it myself!” 💚

And, of course, a few spills along the way are all part of the learning! 🌱

🍂 Our Week in Review: Autumn at Montessori 🍁

What a beautiful week of exploring, discovering and learning through the changing season! 🍂

We embraced all things autumn with nature-inspired activities, sensory exploration, creative work and conversations about the signs of the season. Alongside our autumn theme, the children enjoyed their Montessori work, developing independence, concentration and practical life skills at their own pace. ✨

And, of course, there was plenty of time for free play — imagining, creating, building and learning together through play. 🤎

A week full of little discoveries, big curiosity and lots of autumn magic! 🍁✨

🎂 Our very first Coole Montessori birthday! 🎂

Yesterday, the children worked together to make a very special cake for their friend’s 3rd birthday. 🩷

There was so much wonder and awe as they watched the raw ingredients mix and change into a real cake — just like the ones in the shops! Measuring, mixing, pouring and baking made for lots of hands-on learning.

Today it was finally time to celebrate! 🎉 And the birthday girl had made one very important request for her cake…

❄️🩷 “A pink Elsa!” 🩷❄️

The verdict? “Yummy in my tummy!” 😋

A very special celebration for our birthday girl and a little milestone for us too — our first ever birthday at Coole Montessori. 🌳🌰🎂

🌿 Fresh air, freedom to explore, and endless opportunities to learn. ☀️

💚Our outdoor environment at Coole Montessori has been thoughtfully designed to encourage children to move, imagine, discover, and grow. From climbing, balancing, and riding to role play, sensory exploration, and nature-inspired learning, every corner invites curiosity and independence.

💚We believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens outdoors, where children can develop confidence, strengthen their gross motor skills, build friendships, and connect with the world around them through play.

💚This is more than just a playground—it's an extension of our classroom, where every adventure becomes an opportunity to learn.
We can't wait to see our little learners filling this space with laughter, creativity, and joyful discovery.

💚

As another busy year comes to an end, it's time for us to hit the pause button... just for one week! ☀️

A huge thank you to my incredible team. You are the heart of Ellemenopea, and I'm so grateful for your hard work, your laughs, your patience and the love you show our children every single day. You've more than earned this break!

To our amazing parents, thank you for your continued support, for working with us (even on the chaotic mornings! 😉), and most importantly, for trusting us with your little people. It's a privilege I never take for granted.

To our preschool graduates and our wonderful 6th Class afterschoolers... go and shine! 🌟 Watching you grow has been a joy, and I can't wait to hear all about your next adventures.

We'll be back on Monday 6th July for a summer packed with fun, while behind the scenes we'll also be knee-deep in paint charts, furniture, deliveries and excitement as we get Coole Montessori ready to open its doors! 💚

P.S. Our amazing social media guru is taking a well-earned break too, so we're switching off all things Ellemenopea for the week. No posts, no emails, no notifications... just a chance for everyone to recharge. The office reopens on Monday 6th July. 🙏

Have a wonderful week, make lots of memories, and don't miss us too much... we'll be back before you know it!

Love,
Samantha 💚
