AMS Cardiac Screening at Creagh College

Advanced Medical Services (AMS) will be visiting Creagh College in early December 2026 to provide a cardiac screening service.

The screening aims to identify certain heart conditions that may be present without symptoms. The service includes a medical examination, a personal and family history questionnaire and an ECG, with results reviewed by a consultant cardiologist.

The discounted cost is €80. Laya health insurance members may be eligible to access the service free of charge, subject to membership requirements.

Mol an Óige agus Tiocfaidh sí - Turas go dtí an Ghaeltacht ☘️

Chuaigh 41 dalta ón tríú bliain go Coláiste Acla ar Oileán Acla ar feadh trí hoíche lena múinteorí Gaeilge.
D’fhan siad le bean an tí, ghlac siad páirt in a lán imeachtaí cosúil le surfáil, cladaoíocht agus pleidhcíocht sa phortach. Thaitin na radhairc áille (agus na caoirigh) go mór leo.

D’fhoghlaim siad rincí nua ag an gceili gach oíche, chuir siad feabhas ar a guid Gaeilge agus bhí an-chraic acu le chéile.

Ag tosú traidisiún nua i gColáiste na Craobhaí. Maith sibh!

Praise the young and they will flourish - A trip to the Gaeltacht… ☘️

41 students from third year went to Coláiste Acla on Achill Island for 3 nights with their Irish teachers.
They stayed with a bean an tí, they took part in a lot of activities including surfing, coasteering and bog snorkeling. They loved the beautiful scenery (and the sheep).

They learned new dances at the céilí every night, they improved their Irish and they had great fun together.

Starting a new tradition in Creagh College. Well done everyone!

Our TY students were busy baking for a great cause last week as they organised a bake sale on Tuesday to raise funds for the Shoebox Appeal.

Well done to our TY students for their hard work and generosity and thank you to everyone who supported the fundraiser! Your hard work and kindness will help make a difference to those in need.

Our Junior Girls Football team travelled to Ramsgrange last Thursday morning for their first group game.

A fantastic team effort from start to finish, with great communication, movement and passing creating some excellent football throughout the game. The girls showed brilliant determination and commitment right to the final whistle.

Well done, girls, on a superb performance and a comprehensive victory. What a start to the campaign!

Our TY Girls Gaelic Football team got off to a brilliant start with a well-earned win against Educate Together Gorey on Monday morning.

The girls showed great teamwork and passing throughout the game and finished off with excellent scores in their first game in the TY Wexford Schools League.

Well done to all the girls involved. We are looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Lunchtime is getting more active at Creagh College with our new Lunchtime Racquet Sports sessions in the Sports Hall!

Seniors can get involved on Thursdays while junior students can take part on Fridays. The sessions are a great opportunity to have fun, meet new people, stay active and improve your game. Whether you already enjoy racquet sports or are trying something new, all students are welcome.

Bhí an chéad chruinniú ag ar gCoiste na Gaeilge i rith na seachtaine. Bhronn Mr. McGrath na suaitheantais ar na baill agus mhol sé dóibh as bheith páirteach sa scéim. Tá daltaí ó gach bliainghrúpa ar an gCoiste. Beidh siad gnóthach ag pleanáil imeachtail le linn na bliana. Mar a deirtear ‘Tus maith leath na hoibre’.

The first meeting of our Irish Committee took place during the week. Mr. McGrath presented the badges to the members and praised them for taking part in the scheme. There are students from every year group on the Committee. They will be busy planning events throughout the year. As they say “A good start is half the work.”

Where are the Class of 2026 now?

We are catching up with another six graduates from of Class of 2026. From further study to new opportunities, they are all beginning an exciting new chapter after their time in Creagh College in NUI Maynooth, Trinity, TU Dublin, DCU, SETU and the Irish Defence Forces.

We are very proud of each of them and wish Owen, Saille, Patrick, Jay, Zunaira and Daniil and all of our Class of 2026 every success as they continue to follow their ambitions.
