What a lovely day it is here in Higgy’s. We would like to say a massive thank you to our families whose children are moving on to school today , your gifts of appreciation have filled our hearts. We will miss you all and wish all the children all the best with their next learning adventure.

Ooh there was great excitement in our Cherry room this morning. Jen set up a wonderful provocation for our Cherrys and they all had a great time camping out in our tent.

We had a surprise visitor today, Orla Redmond from our local Garda station, aka Hollie-Rae’s aunty. Orla shared lots of information about the job of the Gardai and their role in the community

What a wonderful surprise from Kate Mc Dermott, Gorey Central School’s Erasmus+ coordinator. Higgy’s House had a marvellous visit from the visiting teachers from Italy. It was a wonderful experience for the children

The rain didn’t stop the children from making the most of their Summer party with Tina and Katie from oddsocks party entertainment. We had lots of energetic fun, games and face painting. Some of the staff had even more fun than the children I think!

Well done to all of our Oak Room that took part in their sports day, kindly directed by Karen and Stephen, Kyle’s parents. We all had so much fun and the children, staff, and Karen and Stephen, tested their skills in lots of different sports and games. Thank you to Paddy, Elinn’s dad for the amazing medals that he made especially for the event
