Last Thursday our Transition Year students went on a visit to World Skills Ireland 2026 in the RDS in Dublin. There were many different jobs and careers on display at the convention, including careers in carpentry, cookery and industrial control. A ‘Heroes Stage’ was also included in the exhibition where many guest speakers spoke on topics concerning future careers and AI’s integration into the workforce. There were many different interactive experiences at the event including virtual reality, drunk goggles and podcast equipment. As a result of the vast number of careers and jobs on show, each student was able to find at least one that they had an interest in.
