What a wonderful day we’ve had in the garden and outdoors 🌿✨
The children were busy little gardeners this morning, proudly harvesting their vegetables and herbs — and they put their fresh ingredients to delicious use. Together we made a lovely homemade pesto, followed by a fun tasting session with pasta, lettuce, and even some brave radish sampling! 🥬🍝

Later we gathered for a cosy teddy bear picnic. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect!! Sunshine, smiles, and lots of happy campers all around! ☀️🧸💛

It was a day full of curiosity, teamwork, and simple joys. Well done to all our little growers and chefs!

Today our students received their PAWS Water Safety Certificates after completing the Primary Aquatics Water Safety programme. They learned the importance of staying safe around water at home, by rivers, on farms and by the sea. Living so close to the sea, we know just how important it is that every child learns to be confident and safe around the water.

Here’s to safe swimming, strong skills, and lots of happy days by the water.

A huge thank you to Ulick for a brilliant day of cycling fun and learning.
The children took part in bike‑safety checks, practical skill‑building, and engaging games that helped them grow in confidence on their bikes. It was fantastic to see them learning so much while having such a great time. We really appreciate the care, expertise, and encouragement Ulick brought to the session.

Today we picked the vegetables we grew from tiny seeds!

Starting from scratch with just soil, seeds, and a lot of hope. We watched them sprout, watered them, nurtured them, and cheered them on as they grew bigger every day.

Today was harvest day, and what a feeling it was! We picked our vegetables, chopped, peeled, and diced… and turned them into the most delicious soup. Veg that was growing only an hour earlier, it honestly couldn’t have been fresher.

There’s something incredibly special about eating food you’ve grown with your own hands. Proud, grateful, and very well fed!

Well done 3rd and 4th class!👏

We are so excited to share that we are getting a new school garden! We are working on the design but it promises to be fabulous and we can't wait!
A school garden isn’t just a “nice extra”. It’s a living classroom that supports academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and social development. It provides students who learn in diverse and individual ways with meaningful opportunities to excel, while further enriching the educational experience of those who already thrive.
Our project was awarded funding from the Amazon South West Cork Community Fund, supported by Amazon. Thanks to ChangeX too!
