Deputy Principal announced for Our Lady's College Galway.
CEIST (Catholic Education an Irish Schools Trust) is very happy to announce that Michelle Casserly has been appointed as the first Deputy Principal of Our Lady's College Galway with effect from the 1st September 2016. Michelle is currently a teacher in Mercy Secondary School, Newtownsmith, Galway. We wish her the very best in her new role.

Principal Announced for Our Lady’s College
CEIST (Catholic Education an Irish Schools Trust) is very happy to announce that Clíona Ní Néill has been appointed as the first principal of Our Lady’s College, Galway. The appointment was confirmed on Monday evening. Clíona Ní Néill is a native of Galway City and current principal of Presentation Secondary School, a position she has held since 2006.
Dr. Marie Griffin, CEO of CEIST welcomes the appointment. “We are delighted with the appointment of Clíona Ní Néill as principal and look forward to a successful journey together into the first term, this September, for this new Galway school”.
Our Lady’s College is Galway’s newest secondary school, which will open on September 1st of this year. It is the uniting of two great Galway schools, the Presentation and the Mercy Newtownsmith. The schools motto ‘Excellence Together’ sums up the fibre of the new institution, which promises a new and strong future for girls’ post primary education in Galway City centre.
The Board of Management of Our Lady’s College will now commence the process of appointing a Deputy Principal for the new school.
CEIST, as patron, wishes Clíona Ní Néill and the board of management every success in leading the development of Our Lady’s College, Galway.

Galway’s newest secondary school was officially celebrated at a launch in the Radisson on Monday, 23rd November, 2015.
Our Lady’s College Galway will officially open its doors in September 2016.
