My heart is full of gratitude.
A year ago, Come to Your Landing Pier quietly set sail with the hope of raising funds for two charities close to my heart. Never could I have imagined the journey it would take or the lives it would touch along the way.
Thank you to everyone who recently joined us for Celebration on the Landing Pier of The Ardilaun Hotel. To gather with family, friends, former colleagues, past pupils, supporters, and so many kind-hearted people was a gift I will treasure.
A special thank you to President Catherine Connolly for joining us and making the evening so memorable. She continues to inspire us through her courage, vision, and belief in using our voices to lift others.
We were indeed lifted by seven inspirational speakers - , Anna Raftery, Sarah Kenny , Mike O’Connor , , Jarlath Feeney and Marie Flannery - whose reflections and stories added much meaning to the night.
We were deeply moved listening to Sibylle Wild share her sister Marina’s journey with ALK-positive lung cancer, reminding us of the importance of continued support for vital research.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey over the past year — sponsoring, buying, gifting, promoting, selling, and encouraging this little book. Every act of kindness has helped carry it further than I ever imagined.
Together, we have now raised over €25,000 for Sr. Rose & The JM Mission in Haiti and ALK-Positive Lung Cancer Research, and the journey continues.
As I reflect, I’m reminded it is not the destination that matters most, but the people we meet, the connections we make, and the kindness we share.
A heartfelt thank you to Michelle from .photography for capturing these special moments so beautifully.
With love and gratitude,
Margie ❤️

All around us nature is blooming with colour and new life as everything unfolds in its own perfect time.
In that same spirit, I’m opening the doors to a new Creative Way Course inspired by “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron.
A space for gentle exploration, expression, and coming back to yourself. A place to reconnect with your inner voice, your creativity, and the natural rhythm that already lives within you.
Beginning Thursday, May 14th
7:30–9:00pm
Held in a small, intimate group setting. Please feel free to reach out for further details.

What a joy it was for me to spent a few hours as part of the Salerno Christmas fair this morning.
What I privilege to get to sit with my book
‘ Come to your Landing Pier’ in the magic wonderland that was created by the TY students.
Through their decoration, their music and singing, their baking delights and their natural kind and fun filled energy they managed to draw us all in to the mystery and goodwill that is Christmas.
Thank you to Marie Flannery for her gracious invite to me and my books.
A big thank you to past pupils, staff, parents and grandparents who generously bought copies today and over the land few months.
Your generosity means we have gone to reprint and so far we have raised €18,000 for
Sr Rose in Haiti
ALK-Positive lung cancer research.

‘There is such Love in this room’
I feel so grateful and privileged to have been in Dublin Castle and be part of President Catherine Connolly’s historic day.
I find it difficult to put into words or explain what my flows of tears right through the cermony meant.
Yes it was the solemnity and joy of witnessing a family member, a friend, a woman who manages to align her life with values of truth, kindness, justice, empathy and authenticity sworn in as first citizen of our country.
My tears were also about the hope that rises in me when I reflect on how her words urging each of us that our own voice is unique and powerful and that it is a privilege and a duty to speak it with respect and authenticity and most especially when we use our voice on behalf of others to help raise them up.
However it was when at 9 o’clock that eve and I realised I had to rush for my bus back to Galway and my heart knew I needed to try and capture such a special day with just one hug and photo with Catherine.
I rushed up to her security and asked and his answer of
‘Yes of course, there is only Love in this room’.
His words just said it all.
What a special day and what a special lady our President Connolly is.

After accompanying a past pupil, Anna, on a recent work trip to the European Parliament, ‘The Landing Pier’ returned home feeling empowered and sailing straight towards a reprint 💙
I’m looking forward to raising much more needed funds for our two charities, Sr. Rose in Haiti and ALK - Positive Lung Cancer Research.
