As our mini-company “Réalta Le Chéile” has come to an end for a while and all the money has been presented to our chosen charities. The remainder of the money was presented to a local child who has been through a lot We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us throughout this amazing journey and experience.
It has been an enormous learning curve for us all and most certainly an experience we will never forget!
From the start it has been a challenging task but with the continued support from our Parents, School Principals Mr. Folan, Mr. Flaherty, Secretary’s Coreena Gibbons, Catherine Connor, Eileen Clarke, all the Teachers (Claire Conneely) and S.N.A’s (Janette Maguire) who helped throughout the process and not forgetting our encouraging friends. We would like to sincerely thank you for all your help.
As we move into our Leaving Cert year our project work with “Réalta Le Chéile” will cease for a while but we do intend on doing work for the charities independently. In the meantime, our page will remain open and we will post any updates.
Thanks again from all us at “Réalta le Chéile”

ATHENRY STUDENTS MAKE SPECIAL PRESENTATION TO MARK
======================================
Our Mark seems to be popping up everywhere these days and he had another special outing in Athenry last week.
Mark was invited to Colaiste an Chlaririn formerly Gairmscoil Mhuire by the Transition Year Students of 2015.
These fantastic young students were involved in a project very close to our hearts throughout last year. Working on a project called Rialta Na Cheile the students compiled a book of recipes produced by 50 different celebrities which sparked amazing interest.
The caring students who sold the book locally presented the proceeds of the sale to Galway Autism partnership and to Autism Ireland which was a wonderful gesture.
Throughout their school year the students had been following Marks Story and had been so taken in by his journey they decided to make a part donation to Marks Campaign.
So when Mark visited the college last week the students had a special welcome for him and he thrilled to bits when Chairperson Sarah Connor presented him with a gift of a Family Break to Fota Island Wildlife Park in Cork.
As you can see from the photo as Sarah presents the gift to Mark he smiles and you can nearly see he is thinking ''At last a break from Limerick''.
I am sure Mam and Dad will be equally delighted of the break but i am sure they will get a session in First Steps in on the way down to Cork.
A huge thank you to Sarah and her fellow students and to all at the college for this wonderful gesture.

In the light of recent events on the exclusion of an autistic child from participating in a school trip I feel the need to write this.
There are boys and girls that nobody invites to birthdays for example. There are special kids who want to belong to a team but don't get selected because it is more important to win than include these children. Children with special needs are not rare or strange, they only want what everyone else wants: to be accepted !!
Can I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post to their wall without sharing it, like I did for a friend? Thank you.

Congrats to our very own Sarah Connor on being selected as one of Ireland’s Top Youth Volunteers for 2016 and receiving a Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards.
Don't forget if anybody is stuck for a Christmas present. Recipes from the stars would be a lovely gift for anyone and it's still available via our page where we will post it to free of charge !!!!
