So, did the year we have just had live up to the predictions made in the magazine? Partly.

Calling scuba divers & snorkelers! ⤵️🌊
Scientists from and the are asking divers and snorkelers around Ireland to sign up for a new initiative - The Sponge Safari !
While sponges are one of the most commonly seen species on dives, they can be difficult to identify therefore accounting for only 8% of all Seasearch Ireland records.
The goal of this project is to increase the profile of sponges in Ireland highlighting their biodiversity through recording schemes, and building the profile of these amazing creatures and their vital roles in our marine ecosystem. 🌊
