That's all, folks! Many thanks to everyone who helped to make the Psychology Student Congress 2017 at NUI Galway such a roaring success: our committee, Meagan Lynch, Hannah Durand, Ciara Gunning, Colm Doody, Donna Cosgrove, Marita Hennessey, Soraya Matthews and Casey Donaghey; the academic staff at NUI Galway who supported us along the way, especially Denis O'Hora, Ann Marie Groarke, John Bogue and Gary Donohoe (plus David Mothersill and Gerry Molloy for not dropping Meagan and Hannah as students while all this was going on!); the technical and administrative staff at NUI Galway, particularly Miriam Lohan, Olive O'Grady, Declan Coogan and Joe Mee; our keynote speakers Brian Hughes, Brendan Rooney and Malie Coyne; all adjudicators (too numerous to mention!); NIBPS, particularly Anne Kerr; PSI; PSI Student Affairs Group; the Irish Psychologist, particularly Suzanne Guerin; Monroe's Tavern, Friars NUI Galway, Gourmet Tart Co. and the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa; the Nox Hotel and Kinlay Hostel; Print That at NUI Galway; and anyone else I may have forgotten to mention! Last but certainly not least, we would like to thank all our delegates, particularly those of you who presented your research. There really would not be a Congress without you, and we are so impressed at the variety and quality of research presented in Galway this weekend.

In addition, we gave out a few awards on Saturday night. Choosing these prizewinners was an incredibly difficult job for our adjudicators given the exceptional standard of work presented. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated for these awards, you should all be very proud!

Can you believe the Psychology Student Congress 2017 at NUI Galway is happening this weekend?! No, we can't either.

For all ORAL PRESENTERS, remember to email us your slides at [email protected] by Wednesday April 5th at 5pm so we can have everything set up for you on the day. See the presentation guidelines we sent out for more information.

In the meantime, to get you into the festive mood, why not check out our band for the gala dinner, 4 Mile Circus? Steven Sharpe et al. always put on a great show, so make sure you're ready to dance!

Massive congratulations to NUIG Psychological Society on their awards! Psych Soc has been a great support to us all year in our Congress-organising efforts. Well done!

Great idea from Psi Chi - National University of Ireland, Galway! Any other societies organising something like this? We definitely advise running through your presentations in front of an audience before the Congress - practice makes perfect, and helps get nerves under control!

Psi Chi is proud to announce that its 6th Annual Research Presentation Night will take place on Wednesday March 29th at 7pm in G065 AMBE!

This event provides students the opportunity to present their research in an informal environment and get feedback from academic/research staff from the School of Psychology. We are particularly excited this year, given the Psychology Student Congress 2017 will take place in NUI Galway the following week. The Psi Chi Research Presentation Night is a great chance for students who plan to present their research at the Congress to get some practice and to build confidence.

Email us at [email protected] with your name, your project title, and your preferred format (oral or poster) by Monday March 27th to sign up!

We are back online folks! Sorry about the delay!

We're back ONLINE

The technical issue is fixed and everything is working as normal. Seeing as this unexpected error occurred we are extending the DEADLINE to MONDAY 6th of March at 5pm to make sure that everyone gets a chance to register 🎉

As we said before:
All attendees, whether you are presenting or just attending, need to pay the registration fee!

This includes: reception on the Friday evening with our first key note speaker and a social event, entry into the congress with the student presenters and our 2 other key note speakers on the Saturday, lunch on the Saturday, entry into the gala dinner on the Saturday night which includes a 3 course meal and late night entertainment.

Many conferences like this can often cost much much more, so it's really worth students' whiles attending this one. This is alongside the added benefits of networking with students from across Ireland, hearing a multitude of student research and having a great weekend in Galway!

The Psychology Student Congress 2017 page has all the updates and the registration fee can be paid at http://www.nuigstudents.ie/psychology-student-conference-17

Hello everyone!
Stay CALM, it wouldn't be a real event if something didn't go wrong 😊 We are having a software issue with our registration link so no need to be alarmed. The site operates through NUIG societies, so we are in contact with them now to resolve the problem 🎉

Everyone will still get a chance to register. We will let you all know when it's back up and running, thanks for your patience ❤
