🏐 HRC Senior Ladies Get Championship Off to a Winning Start! 🏐

HRC Senior Ladies got their championship campaign off to a fantastic start with a convincing 4-12 to 2-3 victory over Dunmore.

From the opening whistle, the HRC girls showed excellent teamwork and composure, with some superb hand passing throughout the game helping to move the ball quickly and effectively up the field.

The HRC defence was outstanding, keeping Dunmore scoreless throughout the first half and making it very difficult for their forwards to find space. Aisling Murphy & Aoife Murray were excellent in defence, putting in a strong performance and helping to keep the Dunmore attack under control.

In midfield, Nicole Miskell, Ella Colleran and Naomi Brennan covered huge amounts of ground, doing a lot of running and ensuring the ball was moved quickly up the field and into attack.

There were some excellent performances in the forward line, with Brianna Sheehy and Grace Roche showing great strength and skill, taking some brilliant catches and converting them into scores.

Ciara Hillary also made a fantastic contribution, coming up from wing back to get forward and find the back of the net with an excellent goal.

As the game came towards its conclusion, goalkeeper Niamh Hynes produced some excellent saves to keep Dunmore at bay and ensure HRC maintained their advantage.

A very impressive all-round team performance, with every player contributing to a strong opening championship victory.

👏 Final Score: HRC 4-12 | Dunmore 2-3

A brilliant start to the championship — well done to all the girls! 💪🏐👏

A big thank you to PJ Mullin from the Local Enterprise Office who visited our school to speak with our aspiring Transition Year entrepreneurs about Idea Generation and developing successful business ideas. .
PJ shared valuable advice and insights with the students as they begin their enterprise journey this year.

We look forward to welcoming PJ back again in November, when he will work with the students to help them develop and progress their business ideas further.

A huge thank you to PJ and the Local Enterprise Office for their continued support of our TY Enterprise students! 👏
