What a season! 🎉 The 2025–2026 Meet the Scientist series has come to a close, and the numbers speak for themselves.
From 15 incredible scientists — including 10 women challenging gender stereotypes in science — to 74,618 children reached across Ireland, it's been an unforgettable year of curiosity, discovery, and big questions.
Thank you to every teacher, scientist, and student who made it happen. See you in November! 🔬

World Water Day is tomorrow, 22 March 💧
Clean water is something many of us take for granted.
But where does our drinking water come from?
How do we make sure it’s safe?
And what happens when water isn’t clean?
World Water Day is a great opportunity to explore environmental science with children and to think about why access to clean water matters for our health and for communities around the world.
Our 2025–2026 Meet the Scientist series has now finished. We’ll be back in November 2026 with more big health and science questions for 4th to 6th class.

Pi Day is today, 14 March 🥧
π is the number that helps us understand circles.
But it also appears in all sorts of surprising places across maths and science.
How can one number describe everything from wheels to waves?
Why does it go on forever without repeating?
Pi Day is a lovely excuse to spark curiosity and show children how maths connects to the world around them.
Our 2025–2026 Meet the Scientist series has now finished. A big thank you to all the 4th to 6th class who joined us this season.
