🎬We are incredibly proud to share a brand-new short animation created by our talented Beech 3 students.
Inspired by the Department of Education’s anti-bullying policy, Bí Cinéalta – Be Kind, this project shows that through support, kindness, and open communication, we can all make our school a better place—one positive action at a time!

Special thanks to our Art teacher, Mr. Paul Cluskey, for his dedication and hard work in helping our students turn their creative dreams into a reality.
We were also honoured to have "The Morgan Brothers" join us as special guests to officially launch the animation. You can watch their animation here ➡️

GCC U‑17 Boys Produce Stunning 4–3 Comeback in Wild Conditions

Galway Community College’s U‑17 boys delivered a comeback for the ages on a blustery Wednesday afternoon, overturning a 3–0 deficit to defeat Foxford and book their place in the Connacht Cup semi-final.

Playing into a fierce breeze, GCC were under pressure from the start. Despite several outstanding saves from goalkeeper David O’Reilly, Foxford took full advantage of the conditions and raced into a 3–0 lead by half-time. The break arrived as a much‑needed reset for the Galway side.

Whatever was said in the dressing room clearly worked.

With the wind now at their backs, GCC emerged transformed. Captain Michael Mongan lit the spark, charging out of defence and unleashing a superb strike from distance to make it 3–1. The introduction of Brooklyn Corcoran added fresh energy, helping GCC pin Foxford back and lift the tempo.

Then came the Amanuel Dems show.

The forward first finished coolly inside the box before stepping up moments later to curl a brilliant free kick into the net, levelling the match at 3–3. He was inches away from a hat‑trick too, rattling the crossbar with a thunderous effort from outside the area.

With the game on a knife-edge and just five minutes remaining, GCC found their hero. Quadri Mustapha arrived at the back post to steer home the winner, sparking huge celebrations and completing a remarkable turnaround.

From 3–0 down to 4–3 winners — a performance full of heart, resilience, and no shortage of quality.

GCC now look forward to a Connacht Cup semi-final showdown with Dunmore.
