GMedTech
GMedTech was established in 2006 within the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Department of GMIT.
Over the last 15 years, the academic staff of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department within Galway Mayo Institute of Technology have been active in biomedical engineering research. This ultimately led to the establishment of the Galway Medical Technologies Centre – GMedTech. The GMedTech Centre was established in 2006 through the Enterprise Ireland Applied Research Enhancement (ARE) Programme
