A study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research found that longer rest between sets boosts muscle growth. Over 8 weeks, one group rested 1 minute and another 3 minutes between sets. The 3-minute group saw up to 93% more growth in muscles like the quads and triceps.
The reason? More rest helps maintain training volume and performance. Short rest can cause early fatigue, lowering mechanical tension, a key trigger for hypertrophy.
To build more muscle, rest 2–3 minutes between compound sets. It allows better recovery and leads to greater gains over time. Train smart, rest right and grow more!

New research reveals that creatine, commonly associated with muscle performance, also offers significant cognitive benefits. The study found that participants who supplemented with creatine saw a 31% boost in memory and a 51% improvement in processing speed.
These mental performance gains are particularly noticeable during periods of sleep deprivation, stress, or aging, times when the brain’s energy supply is often depleted. Creatine isn’t just for athletes, it’s powerful fuel for sharper thinking, better memory, and enhanced mental clarity.
