The Montessori curriculum helps to develop independence, concentration, co-ordination, self esteem, confidence, resilience and social skills. Sunflower Montessori has a large secure outdoor play area, and a vegetable patch that the children help to develop. Children are provided with an environment that is rich in learning experiences, which they will investigate with the assistance of their teachers, as well as self exploration and manipulation.Gardening, science, baking, arts and crafts, geography and music will play a big part in their day, along side reading, writing and counting exercises.
