Gortaleam N.S Cake Sale and Raffle
Thank you to all our generous supporters who have contributed prizes for our raffle at our cake sale on Sunday. See the list below.
Please visit our school on Sunday to buy some baked goods and to contribute to our raffle.
Sponsorship cards for entering our raffle are available at the desk in Mom's Café, Howley's Eurospar and Egan's Filling station if you want to enter the raffle before then.
The Raffle and Cake sale take place in our school this Sunday June 14th at 11am.
All proceeds go towards the funding of school activities and resources for children in the school.

Yesterday, our Big Buddy and Little Buddy groups enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Rascals Play Centre in Kiltimagh as a reward for all the kindness, friendship and support they have shown each other throughout the year.

The Buddy System is a very special part of life in Gortnaleam N.S., and it has been wonderful to see the older children caring for and encouraging their younger buddies while building lasting friendships along the way.

Everyone had a fantastic time playing, laughing and making memories together. A huge well done to all of our Buddies for being such positive role models and for helping to make our school such a kind and caring place. ⭐️

Join us Sunday, June 14th at 11:00am for a fun-filled morning at Gortnaleam N.S.!
There will be a delicious selection of homemade cakes, buns and treats for everyone to enjoy, along with our exciting raffle featuring fantastic prizes including hampers, vouchers and much more.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet members of our school community while supporting our school fundraising efforts. Every cake purchased and raffle ticket bought helps make a difference for our pupils.

What a fantastic day we had on our school tour to Slieve Aughty Centre today! 🐴☀️

The children enjoyed a wonderful hands-on experience learning all about how to care for horses, including grooming, feeding, and looking after their needs. They also had the exciting opportunity to ride ponies 🐎🐷

Congratulations to the boys and girls of Ballinlass/Gortnaleam who took part in the Cumann na mBunscoil competition and are through to the county semi- final. Stay tuned for match details 🥳 🙌 🥳 👏🏻👏🏻

Two of our Buddy groups got creative this week and made a delicious “brownie” birthday cake to celebrate our April birthdays 🎉

Happy Birthday to Sean, Sophia and Nadine — we hope you all enjoyed the cake! 🎂

Fun in the sunshine 😁🌞

We were delighted to welcome Carrie, Aideen and Louise and their lovely dogs Sam and Izzy from Madra to our school today! 🐶

They shared so much wonderful knowledge with us about how to properly care for dogs, including the importance of food, exercise, grooming, and regular vet visits. We also learned how to safely and respectfully approach other people’s dogs — always asking the owner for permission first, letting the dog sniff you, and understanding when a dog might need space.

The children really enjoyed the visit and asked some fantastic questions. It was a fun and informative experience for everyone, and we are so grateful to Carrie, Aideen and Louise for taking the time to teach us how to be responsible, kind and safe around dogs.
