The NUIG Finance Society is looking at getting a Financial Times subscription. To gauge the interest we've been given a free trial by the Financial Times for a month! Fill out the form below and we'll email you the link for a 1 month free trial. If there's enough interest and usage during the month, the NUIG Finance society will look at getting a full-time subscription.

Jason Mitchell is the Co-Head of Responsible Investment at Man Group plc. He also co-chairs Man Group's Stewardship & Active Ownership Committee. Jason speaks and writes widely on social and enviromental issues, most recently in the FT and London Review of Books.

He also hosts ‘A Sustainable Future’, an award-winning podcast about what we’re doing today to build a more sustainable world tomorrow.

Jason will be joining us to cover a wide range of topics including the inner workings of hedge funds, how hedge funds prepare for & react to shocks such as COVID-19, and much more! We will then have time for a Q&A

Susan HayesCulleton CFA, "The Positive Economist", is the Managing Director of the HayesCulleton Group and has set up several companies over her career. She is one of Ireland's leading experts in trading financial derivatives, has authored economics textbooks, and is a highly sought-after speaker in conferences around the world.

Susan will talk on a range of topics; including why she chose a career as an entrepreneur, and her insights on trading options. For those of you who were following the WSB/Reddit stocks a few weeks ago (many of which trades were linked to options), this could be quite informative.

Susan is an NUI Galway alumnus who will be returning to join us via zoom this Wednesday at 5pm!
