Celebrating a new phase of Government-Philanthropic Partnership for Music Generation!

The milestone news was announced by Taoiseach Micheál Martin alongside Minister Hildegarde Naughton, U2’s Edge and Adam and Caitriona Fottrell, President and CEO of The Ireland Funds at the Ireland Funds 50th Anniversary Gala in Dublin Castle on 19th June 2026.

With inclusion as its heart, this new funding will focus on reaching young people aged 13 and over who are at greater risk of exclusion and for whom greater barriers persist. It will build on the progress made in using music as a tool for social inclusion and enhancing mental health and wellbeing for children and young people.

We look forward to collaborating with Music Generation National Development Office and our local partners to bring this new phase to life. Together, we will continue to shape programmes that create a positive lasting impact on children and young people in our local communities.
